What is Quantum Academy?
Quantum Academy is a training and certification organization for quantum technology professionals. We offer courses and professional certifications across post-quantum cryptography, quantum computing, quantum networking, quantum sensing, and the leadership decisions that connect them. Quantum Academy is an education and certification brand of Post-Quantum Institute, Inc., a Delaware corporation.
Who develops the courses?
Every program is written and reviewed by hands-on practitioners with direct field experience: people who have led cryptographic migrations, built and assembled quantum computers from modular components, deployed QKD solutions and quantum networks, and evaluated quantum platforms inside large enterprises. Before a course goes live, it is reviewed by a panel of senior industry advisors with subject-matter expertise.
Are Quantum Academy certifications accredited?
Quantum Academy certifications are private professional credentials. They are not government-issued licenses, accredited academic degrees, or academic credit. They are designed to demonstrate applied competence to employers and clients through rigorous, proctored, scenario-based assessment.
Courses and Enrollment
Do I need a technical background?
It depends on the course. Executive and awareness courses, sector courses, and most quantum technology courses require no technical or physics background. Certification training courses and technical deep-dives assume relevant professional experience, which is noted on each course page under Prerequisites.
What is the difference between a course and a certification?
A course is a training program that teaches a subject. A certification is a credential you earn by passing a proctored exam, which validates your competence. Some courses are designed to prepare you for a specific certification exam; others are standalone professional development. Certification pages explain the path to each credential.
How do I enroll?
Enroll online through the Quantum Academy learning platform for self-paced courses, or register for a scheduled live online or in-person session. Each course page has enrollment options. For corporate training, contact training@quantumacademy.com.
What delivery formats are available?

Certifications and Exams
How do the certification exams work?
Certification exams are proctored and can be taken online with a live proctor or in person at authorized testing centers worldwide. They use scenario-based and multiple-choice questions that test applied competence, not just memorization. Your training format and your exam format are independent — you can train self-paced and test online, or train in person and test at a center, in any combination.
Do I have to take the training to sit the exam?
For most certifications, the training course is the prerequisite for the exam. Where a certification has specific prerequisites, they are listed on the certification page. Some candidates with extensive equivalent experience may be able to sit certain exams after meeting stated requirements.
What are the prerequisites for the advanced certifications?
The Post-Quantum Track requires PQCS before the specialized PQCM, PQCA, and PQCV certifications. The Quantum Technology Track requires CQTP before CQSI, and CQNE before CQNA. QCSP is standalone. Each certification page lists its specific prerequisites.
What is PQCX and how do I earn it?
PQCX (Post-Quantum Certified Expert) is the capstone credential of the Post-Quantum Track. It is automatically awarded — with no additional exam or fee — when you hold active PQCM, PQCA, and PQCV certifications simultaneously. See the PQCX page for details.
Pricing and Payment
What currency are prices in?
All prices are in US dollars (USD).
Are there bundles or discounts?
Yes. Most certifications offer training-plus-exam bundles at a discount over purchasing separately. Track bundles (such as the Post-Quantum Complete Track and the Quantum Computing Path) offer further savings. Bundle pricing is shown on each course and certification page.
How does corporate pricing work?
Corporate and custom training is priced based on scope: team size, format, customization, and objectives. Contact training@quantumacademy.com to discuss.
Recertification and Memberships
How long is a certification valid, and how do I maintain it?
Quantum Academy certifications require annual maintenance (US$149 per year, covering all your active Quantum Academy credentials) and recertification each cycle through continuing professional education (CPE) credits or re-examination. Details are provided with each credential.
What is a membership and do I need one?
Membership is optional. It provides ongoing access to courses, recertification support, member resources, and program discounts, and it includes the annual maintenance fee for your active credentials. For professionals maintaining a certification, membership is usually the most economical way to stay current. See the Memberships page.

What is your refund policy?
Refund terms depend on the product type and are set out in our Refund Policy, linked in the footer of every page. Statutory withdrawal rights are preserved where they apply.
