Refund Policy

Effective Date: July 1, 2026

This policy explains when payments for Quantum Academy programs are refundable. It works together with our Terms of Service, Digital Access & Fulfillment Policy, and Cancellation, Renewal & Trial Policy. Nothing here limits rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of your country.

1. The short version

Digital course access is generally non-refundable once you have meaningfully used it, except: our 14-day course guarantee (Section 2), statutory withdrawal rights for consumers (Section 3), defective or non-conforming content (Section 4), and exam-fee rules (Section 5). Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

2. Our 14-day course guarantee

For self-paced courses, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase provided you have completed less than 25% of the course and have not downloaded substantially all of its materials. This guarantee is in addition to, and never reduces, your statutory rights. It does not apply to certification exam fees, memberships after the renewal-cancellation window, or programs explicitly marked non-refundable at purchase.

3. Statutory withdrawal (EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions)

If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with a distance-selling withdrawal right, you may withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.

Digital content supplied immediately: at checkout you may consent to immediate access and acknowledge that, once supply begins, you lose the right of withdrawal for that digital content. If you do not give that consent, access begins after the withdrawal period and your 14-day right is preserved.

Services and live sessions: if you ask us to begin within the withdrawal period and then withdraw, you pay a proportionate amount for what was supplied before withdrawal.

To withdraw, email support@quantumacademy.com within the period with your order details (you may use the model form below). We will refund within 14 days of your notice using the original payment method.

Model withdrawal form: “To Post-Quantum Institute, Inc. (Quantum Academy), support@quantumacademy.com — I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: [program name], ordered on [date], name: [name], email used at purchase: [email], date: [date].”

4. Defective or non-conforming content

If purchased content is defective, inaccessible, or does not conform to its description, contact us. Where the law of your country gives you conformity remedies for digital content (as in the EU and UK), we will bring the content into conformity, or provide a price reduction or refund, as the law provides. Independently of statute, if we cannot fix a genuine access problem within a reasonable time, we will refund the affected purchase.

5. Certification exams

Exam fees are refundable until you schedule the exam. After scheduling, you may reschedule without charge up to 48 hours before your appointment. Within 48 hours of the appointment, or after a no-show, the attempt is forfeited except in documented emergencies, which we assess case by case. Exam attempts invalidated for violations of the Exam Rules are not refunded. Where the exam was bundled with a course, the course portion follows Sections 2–4 and the exam portion follows this section.

6. Memberships and renewals

You can cancel a membership at any time with effect from the end of the current term; access continues until the term ends. Renewal charges are refundable if you cancel within 14 days of the renewal date and have not made material use of member benefits in the new term. Otherwise, partial terms are not refunded except where required by law. Trials and renewal mechanics are covered in the Cancellation, Renewal & Trial Policy.

7. How refunds are processed

Email admin@postquantum.org from the address on your order, with the order number and the reason (for guarantee and statutory requests, a reason is optional). Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days of approval; your bank may take additional days to post the credit. Where Stripe is the merchant of record for your transaction, the refund is issued through Stripe and appears from the name shown on your original statement.

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; we resolve almost everything faster directly, and unwarranted chargebacks may result in suspension of access for the disputed item.

8. Taxes and currency

Refunds include the taxes charged on the refunded amount. Refunds are made in the currency of the original charge; we are not responsible for exchange-rate differences or bank fees on either leg.
