This Cookie Notice explains how Post-Quantum Institute, Inc., doing business as Quantum Academy (“we”), uses cookies and similar technologies on quantumacademy.com and on the connected learning and checkout pages. It supplements our Privacy Notice.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Some are deleted when you close the browser (session cookies); others remain for a set period (persistent cookies). Similar technologies — local storage, pixels, SDKs — work comparably, and we use the word “cookies” to cover them all.
2. The categories we use
Strictly necessary. Required for the site and checkout to function: keeping you logged in, securing forms, remembering your cookie choices, and fraud prevention during payment. These do not require consent and cannot be switched off in our banner.
Functional. Remember choices you make (such as preferences) to improve your experience. Used only with your consent where required.
Analytics. Help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it. Set only with your consent where required.
Marketing/advertising. We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this Notice and ask for consent first.

3. Your choices
Consent banner. Where the law requires consent (for example, in the EU/EEA and UK), the site shows a banner on your first visit. Only strictly necessary cookies run until you choose. You can accept all, reject non-essential, or pick categories.
Change your mind anytime. Use the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer to review or withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened.
Browser controls. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break login and checkout.
Global Privacy Control. Where applicable law gives effect to the GPC signal, we honor it as a valid opt-out for the technologies it covers.
4. Third-party platforms
Course delivery and checkout run on Thinkific, and payment runs on Stripe; each sets its own cookies on its pages under its own policies (see Thinkific’s and Stripe’s cookie documentation). Embedded third-party content, if any, may also set cookies from the embedding provider.
