Yes, we use AI at Quantum Academy, and we’d be foolish not to. Our team works with AI tools on research, drafting and editing, and on the software behind this website.
People decide what we teach and how, and subject-matter experts check every course, page and article before we publish it. Our instructors teach every live session themselves.
Why we use AI
Post-quantum standards, regulations and vendor roadmaps keep changing, and we update our courses when they do. We use AI tools to find what changed and which courses it affects. An expert reviews every update before we publish it.
Our instructors and course authors are practitioners with client work of their own. We use AI tools for the mechanical parts of course production, such as first drafts, formatting and consistency checks. Our experts spend their hours on the judgment calls, worked examples and teaching that need their experience.
How we use AI
We use commercial AI tools in four kinds of work.
Research. Our team finds standards, regulatory texts, papers and announcements faster with AI search tools. Someone on the team reads each source before we cite it.
Drafting. A subject-matter expert decides the scope and substance of each piece. We then use AI tools to produce first drafts of course material, web pages, articles and emails.
Editing. We run drafts through AI checks for clarity, consistent terminology and house style.
Building. We build and maintain the software behind this website with AI coding tools.
We treat everything an AI tool produces as a draft, and a person reviews it before we publish it or teach from it.
How experts check our material
For every course, a subject-matter expert decides what we teach in it and approves the final material. The expert rewrites any part of an AI draft that is wrong, thin or unclear.
Before we publish a course, page or article, a reviewer checks:
- each algorithm name against NIST’s published standards
- each statistic, date and regulatory deadline against its original source
- each quotation against the original
- each qubit count, for whether it means physical or logical qubits
- each capability claim, for whether the result has been demonstrated or only announced
Who teaches our courses
Each of our instructors is a senior practitioner who still works in the field. Between them, they have led cryptographic migrations and deployed quantum key distribution systems and quantum networks. Some have assembled quantum computers from modular components, and others have briefed boards.
Every instructor has passed a technical interview with instructors in their field and a recorded teaching audition. New instructors co-teach a live session before they teach alone. Our selection process is public.
We focus on live training, online and in person. In a live session, you can ask how a standard applies to your own systems and deadlines. The person answering has done that work.
Everyone who appears or speaks in our course videos is a real person. [verify: no AI voice, avatar or synthetic presenter in any lesson video, current or planned]
Exams and credentials
Subject-matter experts approve every exam question and set the passing standard for each exam with the modified Angoff method. We review every exam booking by hand, along with every request for an exception to the training prerequisite. No AI tool scores your exam or decides your result. A person reviews every appeal, and two assessors who did not teach the cohort mark each CCQO capstone.
We confirm the proctoring arrangements for each sitting when you book, as the Candidate Guide explains. Certification exams are closed book. The Exam Rules list what you may use during a sitting.
Your data
We don’t put learners’ or candidates’ personal information, exam answers or results into AI tools. If a client shares material with us for private team training, we use AI tools on it only with the client’s written agreement. We use AI services under business terms that prohibit the provider from training its models on what we enter. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle personal data.
Responsibility and corrections
Quantum Academy has editorial responsibility for everything published under its name, including anything drafted with AI tools. Quantum Academy is an education and certification brand of Post-Quantum Institute, a Delaware corporation. We never list an AI tool as an author. Every testimonial or review we publish comes from a real person, in their own words.
If you find an error in a course, a page or an article, email support@quantumacademy.com. We check every report and correct confirmed errors.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our tools or practices change.
