Quantum Technology Executive Retreat

Two Days of Executive-Level Quantum Technology Immersion

The Quantum Technology Executive Retreat provides senior leaders with a comprehensive, in-depth understanding of the quantum technology landscape — covering computing, networking, and sensing on the first day, and the security dimension on the second.

Unlike a conference presentation or a briefing document, the Retreat is designed for depth: small groups (maximum 20 participants), extended discussion, guided self-assessment, and a personalized action plan that each participant takes away. It is not a sales event, and it is not vendor-sponsored. The content is rigorously vendor-independent.

Who Should Take This Course

C-suite executives, board members, government senior leaders, senior military officers, sovereign wealth fund and institutional investors, and technology advisory board members who need comprehensive quantum technology literacy for strategic decision-making.

You should attend if you:

  • Need to make strategic decisions about quantum technology investment, adoption, or positioning
  • Want to understand the full quantum technology landscape — not just one domain — at a level sufficient for leadership-level judgment
  • Value small-group, in-person interaction with peers facing similar strategic questions
  • Want a personalized action plan rather than generic recommendations

Program Structure

Day 1 — The Quantum Technology Landscape

Morning: Quantum Computing
How quantum computers work at a level sufficient for strategic evaluation. The five major hardware approaches and their tradeoffs. What current hardware can actually do versus vendor roadmaps. Which applications have demonstrated value (quantum chemistry, optimization) versus which remain aspirational. Cloud quantum platforms and how to evaluate them. Government programs and investment trends.

Afternoon: Quantum Networking and Sensing
Quantum networking: QKD deployment status, the path from point-to-point links to quantum networks, standards development, and the relationship between QKD and PQC. Quantum sensing: the devices that are deployable today (atomic clocks, magnetometers, gravimeters), defense and commercial applications, and what is coming next. The quantum technology supply chain and geopolitical dynamics.

Day 2 — The Security Dimension

Morning: The Quantum Threat and PQC Migration
What the quantum threat to cryptography means for your organization. The harvest-now-decrypt-later and trust-now-forge-later threats. Regulatory deadlines and market pressure. What a PQC migration program involves: scope, cost, timeline, and organizational impact. How to evaluate whether your organization’s quantum risk response is adequate.

Afternoon: Self-Assessment and Action Planning
Guided organizational self-assessment: quantum computing opportunity evaluation, quantum networking applicability assessment, and quantum security risk assessment. Each participant develops a personalized action plan covering: what to do in the next 90 days, what to budget for, what to monitor, and what to defer. Peer discussion and instructor feedback on action plans.
