Quantum Computing Fundamentals – Live Online (Americas), February 2027
How quantum computers work, without the physics degree. Qubits, gates, and algorithms at a conceptual and practical level. Five major hardware modalities and their tradeoffs. Quantum error correction. Cloud platforms. How to evaluate claims critically.
Technology professionals, enterprise architects, security professionals, data scientists, software developers, and technical leaders who need a working understanding of quantum computing for professional evaluation, planning, or strategy purposes.
What you will cover
- Explain the computational model of quantum computing (qubits, gates, circuits, measurement) at a level suitable for professional evaluation
- Evaluate the five major hardware modalities (superconducting, trapped-ion, photonic, neutral-atom, silicon-spin) based on published capabilities, error rates, connectivity, and scalability
- Distinguish between NISQ-era devices and fault-tolerant quantum computing, and assess where each hardware approach stands on this trajectory
- Explain quantum error correction at a conceptual level and understand why it changes the resource calculus
- Identify which quantum algorithms have proven theoretical advantages and which applications are nearest to practical value
- Evaluate quantum computing cloud platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket, Google Cloud, Azure Quantum) on access, hardware, tools, and pricing
The format
6 hours. Delivered live in two three-hour sessions, Tuesday and Wednesday, 15:00 to 18:00 UTC each day, for participants in the Americas. Included: Course handbook, 180 days of on-demand access, certificate of completion.
Full outline, modules, and delivery details are on the course page, together with a justification letter you can adapt if you need internal approval to attend: Quantum Computing Fundamentals.
Our confirmation guarantee. This course needs eight participants. If it has not reached eight twenty-one days before the start date, we cancel it, refund you in full, and add a credit toward any course at the same price or lower. If you do not hear from us, the course is going ahead.
