Quantum Academy
A four-hour live online course for the architects and engineers who design systems so that their algorithms can be replaced again after the post-quantum migration
CHICAGO, October 29, 2026 – Quantum Academy will teach Cryptographic Agility: Design and Implementation, a four-hour course on designing systems that can change cryptographic algorithms without major re-engineering, live online on November 23, 2026, from 15:00 to 19:00 UTC for participants in the Americas. A live online seat costs US$749.
We designed this course for security architects, principal engineers and technical leads who design the target state of their systems. Quantum Academy recommends Post-Quantum Foundation or PQCS Training as background, though participants can enroll without either. Engineers who need to migrate systems now can take PQC Migration: Executing the Waves, live online on June 8 and 9, 2027.
Participants learn the difference between a configurable system and an agile one. They study architecture patterns for agility, including abstraction layers for cryptographic operations, algorithm negotiation at the protocol layer, configuration-driven algorithm selection and provider interfaces. They also learn to identify designs that claim agility without providing it.
Participants then implement agility at the application, protocol and infrastructure layers, including in existing systems, and plan key management and the handling of different key and signature sizes behind one interface. In the last module, they design tests to establish whether they can change an algorithm before they need to. They also write agility requirements into standards, procurement and compliance obligations.
Participants receive the course handbook, a PDF copy of Quantum Ready, Marin Ivezic’s book on PQC migration, and a certificate of completion. Engineers who combine classical and post-quantum algorithms can continue with Hybrid Cryptographic Implementations on March 15, 2027. Architects preparing for the Post-Quantum Certified Architect credential can take PQCA Training from March 15 to 18, 2027.
A further live online session for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific is scheduled for March 30, 2027, from 07:00 to 11:00 UTC. The course page has the full outline and a justification letter for internal approval. Teams can request private training at training@quantumacademy.com.
