Quantum Academy
A four-hour live online course on finding every use of cryptography in an enterprise and turning the inventory into a prioritized migration sequence
CHICAGO, October 27, 2026 – Quantum Academy will teach Cryptographic Discovery, Inventory, and CBOM live online on November 16, 2026, from 15:00 to 19:00 UTC for participants in the Americas. In the four-hour course, participants learn to build a Cryptographic Bill of Materials (CBOM). A live online seat costs US$749.
We designed this course for security engineers, security architects, IT asset management professionals and anyone who leads or performs cryptographic discovery for a post-quantum migration. Quantum Academy recommends a working understanding of post-quantum cryptography, from Post-Quantum Foundation or PQCS Training, though participants can enroll without it.
Participants learn a structured method for finding cryptography in application code, TLS and SSH endpoints, certificate stores, key management systems, databases, hardware security modules and third-party services. They compare CBOM generation tools and the standardized CycloneDX format with its cryptography extensions, and plan how to repeat discovery in CI/CD pipelines as systems change.
For each cryptographic asset, participants record the algorithm, key length, purpose, location, dependencies and owner, and map assets to the business systems and data flows that depend on them. They then assess the inventoried assets against five factors: quantum vulnerability, data sensitivity, exposure window, business criticality and migration complexity. They give priority to the assets used for data with long confidentiality requirements, the data an attacker could harvest now and decrypt later.
Participants receive the course handbook, a PDF copy of Quantum Ready, Marin Ivezic’s book on PQC migration, and a certificate of completion. Those who will run the migration can take PQC Migration Project Management on December 7, 2026. Those who will implement the migration can take PQC Migration: Executing the Waves on June 8 and 9, 2027.
Further live online sessions for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific are scheduled for December 4, 2026, and March 8 and April 9, 2027, from 07:00 to 11:00 UTC. Sessions for the Americas follow on December 4, 2026, and January 15, February 25, March 8 and April 9, 2027, from 15:00 to 19:00 UTC.
