A two-hour live online course on the EU’s coordinated post-quantum roadmap, DORA, NIS2, the Cyber Resilience Act and the national dates set in Germany and France
CHICAGO, November 6, 2026 – Quantum Academy will teach PQC Compliance: European Union, a two-hour course on the EU’s post-quantum requirements, live online on November 27, 2026, from 09:00 to 11:00 UTC, which is 10:00 to 12:00 in Brussels. A live online seat costs US$379.
In June 2025, EU member states agreed a coordinated implementation roadmap for the transition to post-quantum cryptography. Each member state is to start its transition and establish an initial national transition roadmap by the end of 2026. Under the roadmap, member states are to migrate high-risk use cases by the end of 2030 and medium-risk use cases by the end of 2035.
Participants examine the roadmap’s first steps and its definitions of high-risk and medium-risk use cases. They then review the EU law that already applies to cryptography. Under DORA’s technical standards, financial entities must plan to update their cryptography in line with developments in cryptanalysis. NIS2 requires essential and important entities to have policies on cryptography. The Cyber Resilience Act’s security requirements for products apply from December 2027.
The instructors also explain the dates that Germany’s BSI and France’s ANSSI add to the EU’s. In the last 30 minutes, participants list the evidence that supervisors and national authorities will ask to see. It includes the encryption policy DORA requires, the cryptographic inventory, the risk classification of use cases and the migration roadmap. Participants also learn to brief their management body on obligations and progress.
We designed this course for compliance officers, CISOs, DORA and NIS2 program leads, risk managers, legal counsel and migration program managers. The intended participants work at banks, insurers, public administrations and operators of market infrastructure, energy, health, transport and digital infrastructure, and at companies that sell products under the Cyber Resilience Act. Participants receive the course handbook, which includes a reference table of the EU and national instruments and their dates and sources. They also receive a PDF copy of Quantum Ready, Marin Ivezic’s book on PQC migration, and a certificate of completion.
Further live online sessions are scheduled for December 11, 2026, and January 22 and February 15, 2027, each from 10:00 to 12:00 Brussels time. Organizations that also operate outside the EU can take the Global Overview, live online for EMEA and Asia-Pacific on January 29, 2027, PQC Compliance: United Kingdom from February 4, 2027, or PQC Compliance: Switzerland on February 15, 2027.
All ten PQC Compliance courses are listed on the PQC Compliance page. The course page has the full outline and a justification letter for internal approval. Teams can request private training at training@quantumacademy.com.
