Quantum Networking and QKD Essentials – Live Online (EMEA & APAC), April 2027
How quantum key distribution works, where it fits alongside PQC rather than instead of it, network architectures, and an honest view of deployment costs, constraints, and maturity.
Network engineers, security engineers, telecom professionals, government and defense technology specialists, and technical evaluators assessing quantum networking proposals.
What you will cover
- Explain QKD protocols (BB84, E91, MDI-QKD, decoy-state) and the security properties they provide
- Evaluate quantum network architectures: point-to-point, trusted-node (and why “trusted” is doing a lot of work), and entanglement-based
- Assess quantum networking hardware components (single-photon detectors, sources, QRNGs)
- Analyze QKD security including the gap between theoretical proofs and implementation reality
- Evaluate global quantum networking deployments (China’s Hefei-Shanghai backbone, European deployments, US programs)
- Determine when QKD is an appropriate technology choice and when PQC alone is sufficient
The format
4 hours. Delivered live from 07:00 to 11:00 UTC, for participants in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. Included: Course handbook, 180 days of on-demand access, certificate of completion.
Full outline, modules, and delivery details are on the course page, together with a justification letter you can adapt if you need internal approval to attend: Quantum Networking and QKD Essentials.
Our confirmation guarantee. This course needs eight participants. If it has not reached eight twenty-one days before the start date, we cancel it, refund you in full, and add a credit toward any course at the same price or lower. If you do not hear from us, the course is going ahead.
