Learners in two time zones can take the half-day introduction on the same day, the required first step before PQCS Specialist Training
CHICAGO, October 5, 2026 – Quantum Academy will teach Post-Quantum Foundation, its half-day introduction to post-quantum cryptography (PQC), live online on October 19, 2026. The first session takes place from 07:00 to 11:00 UTC for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific, and the second from 15:00 to 19:00 UTC for the Americas.
A live online seat costs US$529. The course is written for security professionals, IT managers, compliance officers, risk analysts, software developers, enterprise architects and business leaders, and requires no prior knowledge of quantum computing or advanced cryptography.
Participants learn how a cryptanalytically relevant quantum computer would break RSA, elliptic-curve cryptography and Diffie-Hellman, and which of their systems and data are exposed to harvest-now-decrypt-later and trust-now-forge-later attacks. They also apply Mosca’s inequality to decide when migration planning has to start.
The course covers the three NIST post-quantum standards already finalized, ML-KEM (formerly CRYSTALS-Kyber), ML-DSA (formerly CRYSTALS-Dilithium) and SLH-DSA (formerly SPHINCS+), and FN-DSA (formerly FALCON), which NIST is still standardizing as FIPS 206. It also covers the phases of a migration, as set out in the Applied Quantum PQC Migration Framework, and regulatory drivers including CNSA 2.0.
Participants receive the course handbook, a PDF copy of Quantum Ready, Marin Ivezic’s book on PQC migration, and a certificate of completion, which is not a professional certification. Post-Quantum Foundation is the required first step before Post-Quantum Certified Specialist (PQCS) Training.
