Quantum Academy
A four-hour course on PQC migration in banking, capital markets and insurance, taught for the Americas in October and for EMEA and Asia-Pacific in November
CHICAGO, October 6, 2026 – Quantum Academy will teach Quantum-Safe Financial Services, a four-hour course on post-quantum cryptography (PQC) migration in banking, capital markets and insurance, live online in two sessions. The first takes place on October 26, 2026, from 15:00 to 19:00 UTC for the Americas, and the second on November 12, 2026, from 07:00 to 11:00 UTC for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
A live online seat costs US$379. The course is written for security leaders, risk managers, compliance officers, technology architects and program managers at banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, insurers and financial market infrastructure operators, and for financial regulators.
Participants map the sector’s regulatory requirements, including the G7 Cyber Expert Group roadmap, PCI DSS v4.0 Requirement 12.3.3, DORA, NIS2 and the HKMA Quantum Preparedness Index, to migration timelines. They plan migration across interbank messaging, payment networks and market infrastructure, and work through the HSM estate and key management.
In a discovery exercise on a cross-border mobile banking payment, published on PostQuantum.com, the course authors counted roughly 320 cryptographic function calls when the banking app opened. Across the nine parties in the payment chain they found more than 30,000 unique cryptographic functions, figures they present as order-of-magnitude estimates rather than an industry benchmark.
Participants receive the course handbook, a PDF copy of Quantum Ready, Marin Ivezic’s book on PQC migration, and a certificate of completion. The course applies the Financial Services Extension of the Applied Quantum PQC Migration Framework, and the Quantum-Safe Financial Services Intensive is the full-day workshop in which participants build their own plan.
