A four-hour course for security leaders on assessing quantum exposure, designing the migration program and taking it to the board
CHICAGO, October 8, 2026 – Quantum Academy will teach Quantum Risk for CISOs, a four-hour course for security leaders, live online on October 30, 2026, from 15:00 to 19:00 UTC for participants in the Americas. A live online seat costs US$749.
The course is written for CISOs, deputy CISOs, security directors, heads of security architecture and other senior security leaders. It also suits chief risk officers and heads of operational risk at organizations with significant cryptographic exposure.
The course has four one-hour modules. Participants assess their organization’s exposure by applying Mosca’s inequality to their own data classifications and system inventories, and map the regulatory requirements that apply to them, including CNSA 2.0, NIS2 and DORA.
They then design a migration program’s governance, phasing and budget, and define a team across cryptographic engineering, infrastructure and PKI, vendor management, governance, risk and compliance, and program management. The last module covers how to report quantum risk to a board without fear-based messaging or dismissive minimization.
Participants receive the course handbook, a PDF copy of Quantum Ready, Marin Ivezic’s book on organizational readiness on which the course is based, and a certificate of completion.
A further live online session for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific is scheduled for December 14, 2026, from 07:00 to 11:00 UTC. The course page has the full outline and a justification letter for internal approval, and teams can request private training at training@quantumacademy.com.
